SAFE AND TRAINED
New Roads and Street Works are critical to keeping the country moving, supporting traffic and supply chain to meet demands, and keeping pavements and walkways safer. Working on NRSW sites requires acute attention to detail and safety to protect those working them and the general public, who are often navigating their way through and around this kind of work.
To regulate standards and quality for NRSW, all projects, large or small, are subject to The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. The legislation provides guidance and frameworks to ensure workers deliver all projects safely, with minimal disruption to the public, while protecting the road and street they are working on.
From busy cities to rural country roads, responsible contractors and employers will only train their employees with accredited courses that adhere to NRSWA 1991.
All Safe and Trained NRSW courses are accredited by the Certification and Assessment Board for the Water Industry (CABWI) and are available for supervisors and operators from novice to refresher:
