CSAS (Community Safety Accreditation Scheme) lets a chief officer of police accredit employees of approved organisations with limited powers under the Police Reform Act 2002: requiring names and addresses, dealing with anti-social behaviour, alcohol confiscation, traffic direction and more, depending on what the force grants. RSAS (Railway Safety Accreditation Scheme) is the British Transport Police equivalent under the Railways and Transport Safety Act 2003 for rail staff. Both require the employer to be approved, the individual to be vetted, and training delivered by a provider endorsed by the Police Crime Prevention Academy. Safe and Trained is one of 15 endorsed providers in the UK.
The PCPA lists 15 endorsed CSAS and RSAS training companies nationally. The TESS Group, trading as Safe and Trained, is one of them. If your force asks who trained your accredited persons, the answer is on their list.
