Streetworks Course Units

As part of the Streetworks set of qualifications, we are also able to offer you a bespoke course with any of the 9 units available.

The 9 unit options are as follows:

Unit 1 – LOCATION AND AVOIDANCE OF UNDERGROUND APPARATUS
Unit 2 – SIGNING, LIGHTING AND GUARDING
Unit 3 – EXCAVATION IN THE HIGHWAY
Unit 4 – REINSTATEMENT AND COMPACTION OF BACKFILL MATERIALS
Unit 5 – REINSTATEMENT OF SUB-BASE AND ROAD BASE IN NON-BITUMINOUS MATERIALS

Unit 6 – REINSTATEMENT IN COLD-LAY BITUMINOUS MATERIALS
Unit 7 – REINSTATEMENT IN HOT-LAY BITUMINOUS MATERIALS
Unit 8 – REINSTATEMENT OF CONCRETE SLABS
Unit 9 – REINSTATEMENT OF MODULAR SURFACES AND CONCRETE FOOTWAYS

We can put together tailored proposal for how this will be delivered and the number of days depending on your requirements. Each Unit takes 1 day.

Available for up to 8 delegates per course

With a mix of practical, video, and classroom-based exercises and tutorials, delegates will cover legislative and administrative knowledge and awareness while taking part in practical tuition to fully understand how the framework works and why it is in place.

The training reflects national standards and industry best practices and is fully accredited in line with regulations.

Our occupationally and technically-experienced educators will assess delegates, awarding successful delegates a certificate for each of the 9 units chosen. In addition, various combinations of the units will lead to a full Street Works qualification, for which a Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR) Card can be awarded (a Passport photograph will be required for each delegate for the SWQR card).

Who is this for?

This training is essential for operatives to learn the legislative framework, practical actions they must take, safety principles and more. In addition, delegates will review legal requirements, ensure safety compliance, and understand procedures and appropriate documentation and classifications. This is dependent on which of the units are taken. It is worthwhile discussing your requirements with us before booking to make sure your delegates are on the best units for your requirements.

Delegates must inform their trainer if they have any serious health issues, physical problems, special considerations or are taking any medication, which may create difficulties in conducting elements of this training course.

Course Duration

Each unit takes 1 day to complete. Duration will depend on how many units are required.

Course availability: We are able to run this course at our own training facility in Loughborough. Alternatively, we can deliver the course at client premises if it meets the requirements.
