More councils are applying for the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) so that their enforcement, parking, housing and community safety officers can deal with low-level issues on the spot. We have delivered CSAS for councils, consortia of district councils and Transport for London since 2015.
Training can start while vetting is still in progress, so you do not lose time.
| Qualification | NCFE Award in Community Safety Accreditation, from a PCPA-endorsed provider |
| Length | Four days for most council teams; five for the full programme; three for a traffic-management focus |
| Delivery | On site at your offices anywhere in the UK. Days 1 to 3 can run online; the exam day is face to face |
| Group size | Up to 12 per trainer, 13 to 20 with a second trainer |
| Refreshers | Half a day, live on Teams, with morning, afternoon or evening slots for shift teams |
| Trainers | Former police officers |
The course is mapped to the powers your officers will actually use: name and address, fixed penalty notices, alcohol, begging, fly-tipping and, where granted, traffic powers.
Councils often need to train a single new officer between cohorts. Tell us when they start and we will find the quickest route, including joining another cohort.
